Rebecca Schaffner
My passion is to work with individuals who are struggling with trauma, anxiety and diversity issues concerning life transitions, immigration or refugee status, as well as oppression or discrimination due to identity status (LGBTQ, Black, Women).
I believe that your mind, body, spirit, and the environment and society in which you spend your time, play a vital role in your health. I take the whole -person approach and enjoy using mindfulness practices to help you find new and effective ways to cope with your struggles. I also enjoy working collaboratively with you, with your goals in mind and me guiding you to live a rich and meaningful life. It is very important to me that you learn how to cope on your own and that whatever you learn during our time together, you will be able to use in the future.
Whatever brings you to therapy, I look forward to helping you achieve your goals and seeing you break out of your cocoon into a beautiful butterfly. Your well-being is my priority!
